Community Service:

Robin believes in giving back to her community.

She has been deeply involved with the non-profit organization, the Bellevue Botanical Garden Society, since 1995. She’s served in various capacities from being a docent, a volunteer teacher’s assistant, a co-President and a Board member. She volunteers at many Society events to help the Society offer many of the low-cost horticultural classes, lectures and events for children and adults. The Society hosts many community events that include the popular Mother’s Day Social, the fun summer Arts in the Garden, and the delightful wintertime Garden d’Lights.

The Society works in partnership with the City of Bellevue, providing education about plants and their stewardship and overseeing more than 50 acres of this beautiful park. It is truly a world-renowned community treasure for everyone to enjoy. Robin also volunteers for the Village Theater as an usher, since 1995 as well. She is a fan of the arts (both theater and ballet) and enjoys giving back to such a great organization.

Robin has been the recipient of The President’s Volunteer Service Award, the premier volunteer awards program that encourages citizens to live a life through service. In addition to being a Seattle University graduate (cum laude), Robin is also a graduate of the City of Bellevue’s “Community Police Academy” which is a 12-week program to help one become acquainted with how the police department works there.
